Instructions for Use Capitis Mirror Tool & Handpiece Tool
The Capitis Handpiece Tool is a training simulator designed for dental students to practice the ergonomic grip and hand coordination used with a real dental handpiece. It provides realistic weight balance and control during pre-clinical mirror or phantom exercises.
1️⃣ Placement of the tool
-
Place the Mirror Tool on a flat working table.
-
Adjust the distance and height so that the working surface is visible only through the mirror. Each student can adjust the ideal position individually.
-
Sit upright and keep your body straight. Pay attention to correct posture and ergonomics.
2️⃣ Inserting the template
-
Place the selected template on the working surface.
-
The templates are used for practicing outlines and shapes; trace and color them according to the assignment.
3️⃣ Training with a pencil or Handpiece Tool
-
For basic practice use an ordinary pencil.
-
For a more realistic feeling use the Handpiece Tool. Insert a triangular pencil into its head to obtain a grip similar to a real drill.
4️⃣ Material and durability
-
Both products are made of durable PET-G material.
-
PET-G is a highly resistant material, it withstands temperatures up to 70 °C and is not affected by direct sunlight. However, we recommend using the products indoors only for maximum lifespan.
-
Mirror Tool also contains a glass mirror, therefore handle it with care.
5️⃣ Maintenance
-
Maintenance is minimal; simply wipe the mirror and the PET-G surface with a soft cloth moistened with water.
-
Do not use abrasive or chemically aggressive cleaning agents to avoid damaging the surface.
